Stockspot named top start-up

May was an exciting month for Stockspot. We were named Asias top financial technology startup of 2014 at the Next Bank Asia conference in Singapore.

Given the quality of early stage fintech businesses in the region, this was a great honour and gives us further confidence that there is a market for our smart, low-fee investment advice in both Australia and Asia more broadly.

We calculate that Stockspot’s direct-to-consumer financial advice and funds management service has the potential to halve investment fees across Australia and Asia.

Our portfolios aim to optimise returns and minimise risk for different types of investor. We do this by building globally diversified portfolios of low-fee index funds

Over the eleven months to May our highest risk portfolio has returned 15.6% after fees and lowest risk portfolio returned 9.3%.
